Bronx River Cleanup Effort Mobilizes Hundreds of Volunteers

New York City, June 23, 2024 – Over 300 volunteers participated in the Bronx River Alliance’s annual cleanup event, removing debris and planting native vegetation along the waterway. The effort is part of an ongoing campaign to restore the Bronx River’s ecosystem.
“Every year, we see more progress in revitalizing this vital resource,” said Alliance Director Gloria Martinez. The event also included educational programs for children on environmental conservation.
