On October 19, 2024, pizza lovers flocked to Brooklyn for the 5th Annual New York Pizza Festival, a celebration of the city’s most beloved food. Held in Domino Park, the festival featured over 40 pizzerias from across the five boroughs, showcasing everything from classic New York-style slices to inventive gourmet creations.
“This festival is a tribute to NYC’s iconic pizza culture,” said event organizer Gina Marino. Long lines formed for standout vendors such as Di Fara Pizza, Lucali, and Prince Street Pizza, while newcomers like gluten-free and vegan pizzerias made their mark.
The event also included a pizza-making competition, live music, and workshops on dough techniques and pizza history. Families and foodies enjoyed the festive atmosphere, with local breweries and dessert vendors adding to the culinary experience.
Proceeds from the festival were donated to NYC food banks, underscoring the event’s commitment to giving back to the community. Attendees called it a slice of heaven, reaffirming NYC’s status as the pizza capital of the world.
