Luna Park in Coney Island Reopens with New Attractions and Celebration

BROOKLYN – Today marks a vibrant reopening for Luna Park as it welcomes guests under clear blue skies while celebrating the 98th anniversary of its historic Cyclone rollercoaster.

Celebratory Events

To commemorate the milestone, the park offered free rides to the first 98 guests on the Cyclone. This welcome was complemented by the annual Egg Cream Christening, a cherished event that allows visitors to enjoy this frothy, traditional milk drink as part of the park’s opening weekend festivities.

What’s New This Season

This year, Luna Park invites visitors to experience several new attractions:

  • New arcade games
  • Revamped retail outlets
  • A newly designed patio at Salt & Sizzle

A Legacy of Fun

With a rich history spanning over 130 years, Luna Park remains a celebrated icon in New York City. Following its opening weekend, the park will operate on weekends until Memorial Day and will then transition to daily operations throughout the summer season.

Upcoming Events

Luna Park is also gearing up for its lineup of summer festivities, which includes the much-anticipated 43rd annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade scheduled for June 21.

For those eager to relive childhood memories and create new experiences, Luna Park continues to be a must-visit destination in Coney Island this season.
