Incident Overview
The incident occurred on March 20, at around 11:45 a.m., outside a shopping center located at 845 White Plains Road in Soundview. Four suspects approached the elderly woman, engaging her in conversation that revolved around a fraudulent lottery ticket scheme. This distraction facilitated the theft of approximately $17,700 worth of her jewelry.
Following the crime, the suspects fled the scene in a gray Honda Pilot that bore New Jersey license plates. Thankfully, the victim was not physically harmed during the encounter.
Suspect Descriptions

- A slim male with a light complexion, last seen wearing a blue hat, a black jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes.
- A medium-built male also with a light complexion, wearing a gray hat, sunglasses, a black jacket, blue jeans, yellow sneakers, and carrying a black book bag.
- The third suspect is medium-built, has a light complexion, and was dressed in a black and gray jacket, blue jeans, and black and white sneakers.
- The fourth suspect, characterized as medium-built with a medium complexion, was wearing a black puffy jacket, black sweatpants, and white sneakers.
