The Empire State Building delighted New Yorkers and tourists alike on October 29, 2024, with the launch of its annual Halloween light show. The dazzling display, synchronized to a spooky soundtrack featuring classic Halloween hits, illuminated the Manhattan skyline with vibrant orange, purple, and green hues.

“This is one of our favorite traditions, bringing a little Halloween magic to the city,” said Anthony Malkin, CEO of Empire State Realty Trust. The light show, designed by world-renowned lighting artist Marc Brickman, included animations of bats, ghosts, and pumpkins, projected onto the building’s upper levels.

Crowds gathered at viewing locations across the city, from the High Line to Brooklyn Bridge Park, to watch the show. For those unable to attend in person, the event was streamed live on social media, allowing viewers around the world to join in the Halloween festivities.

The Empire State Building light show has become an annual highlight of NYC’s Halloween celebrations, combining art, technology, and holiday spirit. The display will run nightly through October 31, adding a touch of whimsy to the city’s autumn nights.
