Harlem is alive with the sounds of jazz as the 17th Annual International Jazz Festival kicks off this weekend. The festival features performances by legendary artists and emerging talent at iconic venues like the Apollo Theater and Minton’s Playhouse.
“This is a celebration of Harlem’s cultural legacy,” said festival director Lisa King. Events are scheduled to run through April 10, drawing music enthusiasts from across the globe.
