The Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks lit up the night sky over the East River tonight in a dazzling spectacle watched by millions. The 47th annual display featured a patriotic soundtrack performed live by the New York Pops and special guest Olivia Rodrigo.
“This is a celebration of our nation’s spirit and the resilience of New York City,” said Mayor Eric Adams, who watched the display from Long Island City. Despite the large crowds, the event was peaceful, with NYPD reporting no major incidents.
