A major drug bust in Los Angeles has led to the seizure of over 500 pounds of methamphetamine and the arrest of 13 individuals connected to a large-scale trafficking operation. The raid, carried out by the LAPD’s Narcotics Division, took place in a warehouse on the outskirts of Downtown Los Angeles. Authorities believe the methamphetamine was being distributed to various cities across California.
“This bust is a significant blow to one of the most dangerous drug operations we’ve seen in recent years,” said LAPD Narcotics Division Chief Hector Gonzalez. “The amount of methamphetamine we seized could have destroyed countless lives.”
This bust comes as Los Angeles has seen a rise in drug-related crimes, particularly in connection to methamphetamine, which has become increasingly prevalent in the region. City officials are calling for more resources to combat the growing drug trade and its associated violence.
