new york – The FDNY responded Friday morning after an MTA bus was found hanging on an overpass near Henry Hudson Parkway in New York City.
What we know:
sky fox was seen above the scene in the Spuyten-Duyville neighborhood of the Bronx, with debris visible on the road below. This is a service road adjacent to the parkway, just half a block away from Independence Avenue.
Dozens of firefighters were called to the scene near Kapok Street around 9 a.m. Video on the Citizen app showed a shot from the road below, showing the front of the bus dangling from the overpass and debris on the road.
Witnesses said the driver appeared to be having trouble turning and was trying to avoid parked cars, which made it even more difficult. At that point, the driver lost control and crashed into a guardrail.
The driver was the only person on board. There were no other injuries to report.
