On June 22, 2025, Nicole Scherzinger delivered a surprise performance at the 34th annual Broadway Bares fundraiser, held at New York Citys Hammerstein Ballroom. The Tony Award-winning actress and singer took the stage to perform the Pussycat Dolls 2006 hit Buttons, joined by her castmates from the Broadway revival of Sunset Boulevard. The event, themed Come Out, Come Out, featured over 200 dancers and raised more than $2.4 million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Dressed in a sheer black catsuit adorned with sparkling fringe, Scherzinger, 46, captivated the audience with her rendition of Buttons, incorporating the original choreography from the Pussycat Dolls era. She added a personal touch by modifying the lyrics to celebrate her recent Tony Award win, singing, Baby cant you see? / How this Tony is spinning on me / and the heat coming from this B / Im about to blow . The performance concluded with Scherzinger and her fellow dancers striking a pose and exclaiming, Happy Pride, baby, in celebration of Pride Month. 

Broadway Bares, established in 1992 by Tony , is a burlesque-style benefit that blends theater and dance to raise funds for Broadway Cares/Equ . This years Come Out, Come Out show featured a Wizard of Oz-inspired theme and included performances by notable Broadway figures such as André De Shields, Alex Newell, and Peppermint. Directed by Kellen Stancil, the events choreography was crafted by a team of renowned choreographers, contributing to the evenings dynamic and inclusive atmosphere. 

Scherzingers appearance at Broadway Bares followed her acclaimed performance as Norma Desmond in Jamie Lloyds revival of Sunset Boulevard. Her portrayal earned her the 2025 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical, marking a significant milestone in her transition from pop star to Broadway leading lady. The production, which transferred from Londons West End to Broadway, also won Best Revival of a Musical at the Tony Awards.

Scherzingers performance at Broadway Bares was a highlight of the evening, showcasing her versatility and commitment to the Broadway community. The event not only celebrated the talents of its performers but also underscored the theater communitys dedication to supporting those affected by HIV/AIDS through fundraising and awareness.
