Thousands gathered in Staten Island today for New York City’s largest Memorial Day Parade, honoring service members who made the ultimate sacrifice. Veterans, active-duty personnel, and Gold Star families marched alongside local bands and civic groups in a moving display of patriotism and remembrance.
“Today, we pay tribute to those who gave their lives for our freedom,” said Mayor Eric Adams, who attended the parade and laid a wreath at the Staten Island War Memorial.
Parade-goers expressed deep gratitude for the sacrifices of the military, with many families sharing stories of loved ones who served. The day also featured a flyover by the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels, drawing cheers from the crowd.
