Skateboarders across New York City are gearing up for the grand opening of the city’s largest urban skate park, set to debut this weekend in Queens’ Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. The 50,000-square-foot facility features state-of-the-art ramps, rails, and bowls, designed to host amateur and professional competitions.
“This park is a dream come true for skaters,” said Tony Hawk, who attended a preview event. The project, part of the city’s Parks for All initiative, aims to provide safe, inclusive spaces for recreational activities.
