Police are searching for a suspect suspected of stealing approximately $7,000 in lottery tickets from various stores in New York City.

When did these incidents occur?

Timeline:

The first incident was reported to police around 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 26, when the suspects entered a store on Manhattan’s Eighth Avenue.

Police said the suspects entered the store with guns, stole about $2,100 worth of lottery tickets and fled the scene.

The second incident was reported to police on January 8 at approximately 8:20 p.m. when the suspects entered a store on Broadway in Astoria, Queens.

Police said the suspects entered the store with guns, stole about $4,800 worth of lottery tickets, then fled the scene and entered the Broadway subway station.

What was the cause?

What we don’t know:

Police are not releasing the suspect’s name at this time.

The motive is also unknown.

What we know:

No injuries were reported in either incident.
