Viveka Jae Ok Hansson has, against all odds, emerged into a creative genius. Nevertheless, having published more than 15 poetry books within a time span of 1,5, she still remains true to her own nature; a simple girl with simple needs.
For four decades, Hansson devoted herself to the pace of the society; a never ever ending rat race chasing shiny trophées. Inevitably, she became very skilled in executing. However, it cost her her well being. She did not only abandon herself but also her core values and inner compass.

Her Creative Selves Originates from Abandonment Entering This World, the Paradox and a Renewal Self-Trust
Born in Pusan, South Korea in 1980, abandoned less than a week, she spent 2,5 years at an orphanage run by nuns. This is where she was named GONG Jae Ok. GONG Jae Ok is a creative persona, referring to the emerging poet she currently is tuning into. Jae Ok means Talented JADE. To put a twist on it all, she later created a persona ‘talented’ replaced by ODD. Hence, ODD JADE.
Hansson initially pursued a more traditional academic and professional path before writing with renewed focus and awareness. She majored in Economics graduating from Lund University, Sweden. This is also where she got to be an intern at the Swedish Embassy, Seoul, South Korea in 2006.
Even though she views herself as an ordinary person, she has come to understand that she is bestowed upon the art of writing truthfully. Instead of treating writing as a secondary interest or as something very erratic, she has gradually positioned it as a natural element in her daily life. Her work explores the challenge of balancing ambition, structure, imagination, and personal awareness in a modern environment that often prioritizes speed and constant performance. Through reflective prose, she considers how creative individuals can remain authentic while continuing to build sustainable creative practices. The Paradox is that the more mundane life she lives, the more creative lifestyle she leads. Hansson has figured out how to transcend herself in a state where she opens the portal to the Divine and well of creativity. She is the muse, in which she channels whatever it is that wants to be communicated through her as opposed to her.
In this creative unfolding, Hansson learned, most surprisingly to herself, that she is not comfortable with the attention that comes along with having her poetry books published. She never fully comprehended until recently the very thing that she is an introverted piece of being. And an extroverted doing where she recharges in silence and solitude. It is as if she is communicating with nature as well as she taps into a universal frequency, a visual landscape filled with modern poetry that is both timeless and ageless.
