Mayor Eric Adams and MTA Chair Janno Lieber unveiled a $10 billion plan today to overhaul New York City’s aging public transit infrastructure. The plan focuses on modernizing subway signals, upgrading buses to electric fleets, and improving station accessibility.
“New Yorkers deserve a transit system that works,” Adams said at a press conference in Lower Manhattan. The project is set to be funded through federal grants, congestion pricing revenue, and state contributions.
