New York City, June 24, 2024 – The city expanded its free public Wi-Fi initiative to 20 additional NYCHA housing complexes, aiming to bridge the digital divide for low-income residents. The expansion brings reliable internet access to over 50,000 New Yorkers.
“Connectivity is a necessity, not a luxury,” said Mayor Eric Adams. Residents praised the initiative for improving access to education, job opportunities, and telehealth services.
