New York City, November 30, 2024 – The holiday season is in full swing as the Bryant Park Winter Village officially opened today, welcoming visitors to one of the city’s most cherished seasonal destinations. Offering a festive mix of ice skating, artisan shops, and delicious food vendors, the Winter Village has become a must-visit spot for New Yorkers and tourists alike.

The centerpiece of the village is its iconic outdoor ice rink, which is free to use for skaters who bring their own skates. Set against the backdrop of the city’s twinkling skyline and surrounded by over 170 holiday market booths, the rink provides a magical setting for visitors of all ages to enjoy the holiday spirit.

“This is my favorite holiday tradition,” said Mia Fernandez, a Brooklyn resident who has been visiting the Winter Village every year since it first opened. “There’s something so special about skating here and exploring all the unique shops and food stands—it really feels like the holidays.”

The holiday market, housed in European-style kiosks, features an array of handcrafted goods and one-of-a-kind gifts. Visitors can browse everything from handmade jewelry and winter accessories to home décor and artisanal candles. Many of the vendors are local small businesses, giving shoppers the chance to support local artisans while finding truly unique presents.

Food lovers will also find plenty to enjoy, with vendors offering seasonal treats like hot cocoa, spiced cider, gourmet chocolates, and international dishes from around the world. Cozy seating areas and heated tents provide a warm place to relax and take in the festive atmosphere.

Bryant Park’s Winter Village has long been a favorite destination for families, couples, and friends looking to celebrate the season. In addition to shopping and skating, the village offers holiday-themed events, including live performances, caroling, and visits from Santa Claus throughout December.

The Winter Village will remain open through January, drawing visitors from across the city and beyond. Whether stopping by for a quick skate, a holiday gift, or a warm treat, the Winter Village continues to embody the magic and joy of the season in the heart of Manhattan.

“This is what makes New York so special during the holidays,” said Winter Village manager Laura Bennett. “It’s a place where everyone can come together to celebrate, enjoy the season, and create lasting memories.”
