The Queens Museum debuted a new exhibit today titled Roots and Rhythms: Afro-Caribbean Art in the Diaspora. Featuring works by over 50 artists from the Caribbean and its diaspora, the collection explores themes of identity, resilience, and cultural heritage.
The exhibit includes paintings, sculptures, and multimedia installations, and has been hailed as a major cultural event. “This exhibit celebrates the vibrancy and creativity of Afro-Caribbean communities,” said curator Danielle Jean-Baptiste.
Running through May, the exhibit will also feature lectures, workshops, and live performances to further engage visitors.
